Make Informed Choices
for A Memorable Journey
When selecting which company to journey with, ensure you inquire about the number of days dedicated to packing up and moving during the 63-day tour. Unlike other companies that relocate 29 times or more, our tours involve 22 moves, allowing extended stays at each stop. This offers you more time to explore and relax—a crucial component of your summer travel and having a fulfilling, collective vacation experience.
How do you choose which great trip to take? Let’s start with some of what makes each different.
Spring May 18th - July 18th:
More babies and much smaller (cuter), think baby bear, baby moose, baby otters, baby goats, baby eagles….
Historically (but not always) this is the dry season
Snow-capped mountains
Lots of daylight, even when it is not full daylight it will still be bright enough to see without a headlamp for the majority of your trip and will have full daylight for 20+ hrs most of your trip. That is more time to explore and do fun things
Celebrations-we will have a Summer Solstice Party and the 4th of July in Valdez
Summer July 20th - September 19th:
A bit less wildlife on the roads but we will still see plenty during the trip
It is a bit wetter but that also gets the berries to finish ripening up so we can pick them
Farmers' markets are loaded with fresh produce and homemade items
State Fair-an amazing experience
Northern Lights-seen every year so far
Fall colors in Denali and through the Northern Canadian Rockies
Moose have their antlers back on
We get asked a lot about bugs and which trip to avoid. We built our routes to avoid getting bitten as much as possible, that is why we go in different directions in Alaska for each of the trips. This allows us to avoid where the bugs are the heaviest, stay where the breezes are when they are out, and then visit the areas known for the swarms after they have ended.
Together, let’s explore the beauty of Alaska.
Our Collective Stops
Homer for seven nights
Seward for six nights

Immersive Collective Experiences Await
Embark on a journey to witness grizzly bears in ways you've never imagined! Fly to the best locations in the world for Alaska bear viewing & photography – Katmai National Park and Lake Clark National Park. On the grizzly bear tours (actually brown bears), collectively watch bears grazing, fishing, clamming, playing, and raising their cubs. This is a trip that will become one of your favorite memories.
Explore the whales, wildlife, and glaciers of Kenai Fjords National Park on stable catamarans. More time on the water allows the captains to seek out the best wildlife viewing opportunities in the area. Visit 1-2 active tidewater glaciers as a group—cruise with National Park Rangers. Enjoy the excellent Alaska Salmon & Prime Rib Buffet together while you cruise. This tour is one that we will collectively work with each of you to choose the best length. Some people love being on the water and will want to do longer cruises, while others would prefer fewer hours.
Let us help you collectively book additional tours on your open days. Gold panning, fishing, float trips, helicopter trips, landing on a glacier, kayaking, and more. Add what is on your bucket list if we missed anything, or just take a day to absorb the beauty.
Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve is the largest national park in the U.S. at 13.2 million acres and a crossroads of several mountain ranges. Within the park, the Wrangell, Chugach, and St. Elias ranges merge to create an alpine paradise that includes nine of the 16 highest peaks in the country. Enjoy flights up and over this amazing scenery before collectively landing in McCarthy.
Relax in vintage passenger coaches as you collectively retrace the original route to the White Pass Summit, passing Bridal Veil Falls, Inspiration Point, and Dead Horse Gulch. Enjoy breathtaking panoramas of mountains, glaciers, gorges, waterfalls, tunnels, trestles, and historic sites. Witness the original Klondike Trail of '98, worn into the rocks—a collective tribute to the thousands of souls who passed this way in search of fortune.
Embark on Knik Glacier Tours that take you through remote, glaciated, backcountry valleys. Our expert guides collectively lead you across beautiful meadows, along streams, and past scenic mountains and waterfalls, revealing the ultimate sight of Alaska’s mighty Knik Glacier. Refuel together for the equally stunning trip back, enjoying lunch at this incredible landmark.
After collectively learning how to operate your side by side, your guides will lead you on rides straight into mind-blowing territories. Traverse all kinds of scenic terrain as a group, including sprawling valleys, fascinating old claim routes for mining, and dense forests, ultimately reaching one of Alaska’s incredible mountainous glaciers. Don’t forget your cameras, as you’re sure to witness wildlife and scenery like you’ve never seen before!
Experience Counts
Another key consideration is the experience of our Wagon Masters in driving to/from Alaska. Understanding the roads, points of interest, and what awaits you on arrival are significant advantages offered by a caravan company. We, as owner-operators, have been traversing the roads to Alaska in our RV since 2014, providing you with unparalleled expertise. In contrast, many other companies employ Wagon Masters who may have made the journey by road only once. Experience indeed makes a difference!
Your Unique Alaska Experience
Now, you are at the crucial part—how much $$$ and what do you get for it?
We are a small, boutique-styled tour company that was established to help people not only see Alaska from the highway but also get out and meet real Alaskans while experiencing some of the most amazing beauty the region has to offer. Simultaneously, we wanted to ensure that our guests experience it in safe and comfortable ways. We have crafted a basic package of some of our most popular tours. Still, we understand that each group traveling with us has different preferences. This package is a "sample" package with $5,315 worth of tours and gratuities built into the price, which we will customize with you, so you do not have any surprise during your trip.
Once you sign up, we will schedule a time to sit down and customize the package to fit your group better. Perhaps you have already taken the White Pass Train in Skagway (included in the package) but love the idea of doing the Ocean Jet Boat adventure. In that case, we will provide a credit for the White Pass Train and then book the Ocean Jet Boat instead.
We will collaborate with you at each stop to ensure that, amid all the fun you will have, you still get some downtime to relax and explore on your own. We will also exclude any excursions that do not interest you, so you don’t pay for something that you don’t want to do.
Also Included:
Also included in the pricing: Mileposts, free pet walking on excursion days, eight celebration dinners, seven lunches (pp), all campground reservations for the duration of the caravan, tips/gratuities for all provided meals and tours, personal concierge service before and during the trip, free surprise gifts at welcome parties, satellite phone usage through Canada for calling home, Starlink internet service for checking e-mails or Wi-Fi calling, and use of long-range radios throughout the caravan.

We're Captains Fred and Sarah, and we'd like to invite you to experience Alaska's wilderness, whales, other wildlife, Prince William Sound's majestic glaciers, Valdez's busy harbor, and the terminus of the world-famous Trans Alaska Oil pipeline. We want you to experience all this in comfort and luxury aboard our motor yacht, Lu-Lu Belles, Alaska's most plush tour vessel!
Lu-Lu Belles are not like other tour vessels you may have visited, and you'll recognize that as soon as you step aboard and see the plush atmosphere of teak and mahogany set off with beautiful oriental rugs. We take special care to assure your comfort and safety while on Lu-Lu Belles. We'll share our knowledge of Alaska's Prince William Sound and its ecosystem, gained from 46 years of experience on these waters. Our groups are small, so you can feel free to walk about. Be sure to ask us if you have a question! We're at the helm on every cruise and have been since 1979.
The Binkley family’s steam boating tradition goes back over 100 years and five generations. In 1898, when Charles M. Binkley hiked over the Chilkoot Pass with other stampeders, he was not so much in search of gold as he was for the chance to build and operate boats on the Yukon and its tributaries. He became a respected pilot and boat builder in the North. His sons, Captains Jim and Sarah Binkley, Sr., followed in their father’s footsteps and piloted freight vessels on the Yukon and Tanana Rivers in the 1940s. Be immersed in frontier living firsthand with guided walking tours of Athabascan villages. See Alaskan bush pilots take off and land right next to the boats!
Our pilots will share their stories of village life and explain the vital role planes play in remote Alaska. Enjoy full family-style meals and eat to your fill. The Discovery Dining Halls offer hearty miner's beef stew, rustic roasted vegetables, kale apple pecan salads, sourdough rolls, and, for dessert, German chocolate brownies.
Visit our dog yard and meet our sled dogs. Your guides will introduce you to the teams and give you an orientation on meeting our dogs. Opportunities abound to pet and love our huskies. Watch with excitement as your teams get hooked up and ready to take you on 20-minute dog sled rides. See how our lead dogs respond to commands on our beautiful trails and learn all about how we train our dogs.
(Upgrade available: You can upgrade this tour to mush behind the dogs on a snow-covered glacier.)
You’ll enjoy nights of fun, festivity, and food! Get a taste of old-time Alaska at Alaska Cabin Nite Dinner Theatre – the popular dinner theater performed in authentic log cabins in the Miner's Plaza at Denali Park Village.
Join our heroines, Fannie Quigley, and an unforgettable cast of characters in true-to-life Gold Rush tales of adventure in early 1900s Alaska. It's a great mix of colorful storytelling, spirited music, and humor brought to life by talented performers. Everyone in your group will love the lighthearted entertainment and hearty cuisine of Alaska's unique Cabin Nite Dinner Theatre.
