Bronze Level is filled with some great tours but also has plenty of free days to fill with optional tours. This tour allows you to build to match your budget but does includes over $3,350 in tours.

Gold Dredge 8

ride a train back in history to one of the original gold mining camps. Touch and see a section of the Alaskan Pipeline. Pan for gold and keep what you find.


Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum-step back in time while seeing over 70 historic automobiles that helped Alaska grow to today See period costumes and post-Gold Rush heritage exhibits.


Denali Backcountry Adventure-most people only get to go 50 miles into the Denali National Park but you will be going way back beyond that. That means better chances to see the majestic mountain and wildlife. Enjoy a lunch buffet before going gold panning, on a nature walk, or just relaxing. 


Choice of Musk Ox Farm Tour OR Reindeer Farm Tour:

Get up close and personal with Reindeer (Caribou if in the wild). Learn more about them, pet, and even feed them. Also see Bison, Moose and a small Elk herd

OR

Meet an Ice Age mammal that was once endangered and is known to produce the finest wool in the world. Go on the guided tour, see the exhibits, and shop for great gifts.


Alaska River Adventure

Take a 2-hour trip up the river into the wilderness. Learn about the history of the area while watching for wildlife. Walk around and Indian Encampment to stretch your legs, visit an authentic trapper’s cabin, and see furs from the area. Learn about the wildflowers and plants that helped feed the Native Indians.


Choice of Glacier Hike or Boat Tour & Walk

Take a water taxi across the bay to a beach landing then hike through the forest to a lake that is fed from a glacier. See large pieces floating, pick up smaller pieces that get close to shore, then hike down the switchbacks to where the water taxi picks you back up. Easy hike with beautiful scenery. All Day Tour

OR

Take a boat across the bay to Seldovia, a quaint artist community. On the way you may see whales and other sea life. Walk around Seldovia, shop in the unique shops, have a beer and listen to local bands, or for an additional fee you can add a kayak trip through the protected waterways. 5-8 hours


Wildlife Tour/Glacier Tour

Cruise out of Resurrection Bay to see Puffins, Sea Lions, Seals, Whales, and who knows what else...See the blue of the glaciers and maybe even watch one calve. Enjoy a great meal of Prime Rib and Salmon while being awed by the scenery floating by you. Emerald green cliffs and blue waters. Tour is between 6-8 ½ hours


Fly to McCarthy

Alaska has so many faces which is why you will be seeing it from land, water, and air. This flight leaves Valdez and goes over the mountains to McCarthy. You will fly along the flanks of 16,000’ Mt Blackburn and over the Kennicott and Root Glaciers, past the Erie Mine and view the breathtaking Stairway Icefall. Once you land you will be able to explore McCarthy and Kennicott. Take a tour of the old copper mine or just walk along and look at the history. In the afternoon you will fly back to Valdez seeing even more spectacular scenery.

Up Close Bear Encounters

One of the most memorable and unique Alaska experience is when you walk with the bears. This is not a zoo, you are in their house but they don’t mind. You will board a plane in Homer and fly over to one of two areas depending on weather. On the way you will get to see the beauty of Alaska from the air. Once you land you will split up into small groups and walk out to where the bears are grazing while learning more about them. This is such an amazing experience with a perfect safety record.


Sea Life Center Tour with Behind the Scenes Tour

While small this center has a very important function, they take in any injured marine or birds in Alaska. You will be able to see those that due to injury or circumstance were not able to be reintroduced to the wild. You will get to choose between three behind the scene tours: Puffin Encounter, Mammal Encounter, or Octopus Encounter for a bit more of a up close and personal tour.


Halibut & Rock Fish Trip

Fishing in Alaska is a one of a kind experience. It is not unusual to have humpback whales surfacing just 20 feet away as you pull in a giant halibut. This trip is great for those who have never fished as we go out with boats that have indoor plumbing, warm/dry cabins, and great crew. For those that have fished you can go for the monster catch. Once you get to shore they will help you get your fished fillet and frozen, ready for the freezer, or ship it home.

This tour is very unique from the boat to how close you will get to a glacier while getting great tidbits from a Captain who has been cruising the waters and giving tours since 1979. Helicopter and Dog Sledding

This tour starts in Girwood, a short but scenic drive from Anchorage, where you meet up with your helicopter pilot. Then you will fly up to and land on the Punch Bowl Glacier, get into a dog sled and mush around the glacier, then go back to base camp to play with the puppies and learn about dog racing. Once you get back to Girwood you can take a tour around this ski town or ride up the tram to take in more views before heading back to the campground.


Alaska River Adventure
