So you are interested in taking your RV to Alaska and the thought of going with a small group led by a couple who have spent the last ten summers in Alaska scouting out the best places to eat, fish, hike, explore, tour, sleep and who have driven the Alaska Highway over a dozen times appeals to you.
Now you are at the important part, how much $$$ and what do you get for it?
We are a small, boutique styled tour company that was built to help people not only see Alaska from the highway, but to get out and meet real Alaskan's while experiencing some of the most amazing beauty you can find. At the same time we wanted to make sure that our guest experienced it in a safe and comfortable way. We have built a basic package of some of our most popular tours, but understand that each person traveling with us has different things they want to do. This package is a "sample" package with $5,315 worth of tours and gratuities in it that we will then customize with you.
Once you sign up, we will schedule a time to sit down and customize the package to fit you better. Maybe you have already taken the White Pass Train in Skagway that is included, but love the idea of doing the Ocean Jet Boat adventure, so we will give a credit for the White Pass Train and then book the Ocean Jet Boat instead.
We will work with you at each stop to make sure that for all of the fun you will have, you will still have some down time to relax and explore on your own. We will also take out any tours that do not interest you, so that you don’t pay for something that you don’t want to do.
Also included in the pricing: Milepost, free pet walking on tour days, 8 celebration dinners, 7 lunches (pp), all of your campground reservations for the duration of the caravan, tips/gratuity for all provided meals and tours, personal concierge service before and during the trip, free surprise gift at welcome party, satellite phone usage through Canada for calling home, Starlink internet service for checking emails or WiFi calling, and use of long range radios throughout caravan.

Undoubtedly one of our most enjoyable tours. You'll experience the thrill of flying to the west side of Cook Inlet to Redoubt Bay from our floatplane base in Soldotna. 10,000 foot volcanoes can be seen on either side of the plane as you descend to the lake where a professional guide will transfer you into one of their 19 foot boats to begin your sockeye salmon fishing day in Alaska. The guide provides spinning rods & reels, the fishing tackle for Sockeye salmon, rain gear, hip boots and bug repellant if needed. On those days when the weather, fishing, and time allow, your guide is prepared to cook up one of your fresh salmon as an on-the-water "shore lunch" if you desire. Please ask your guide if this is possible during your trip. Beavers, otters, ducks, loons, swans and Bald eagles also inhabit the area and both black bears and Brown bears may be and often are spotted fishing for a salmon meal in the same area the anglers are fishing. The guide will provide the fishing gear needed.
Experience the unforgettable beauty of this vast and remote wilderness on this 5-hour river adventure. A 130-mile round trip river excursion through Denali State Park and into the nationally registered Wild River Park of “Devil’s Gorge” will offer a safe, dry and comfortable way to experience whitewater and you can venture where only few have gone.
For those adventurous souls that are ready to spend an entire day exploring Alaska’s beauty, our backcountry tour to Knik Glacier is an unbeatable experience of nature’s wonders. In this full-day tour that takes 6-8 hours, you will see Alaska like you never have before!
The Knik Glacier tour takes you on a ride through a remote, glaciated, backcountry valley. Our expert guides will lead you across beautiful meadows, along streams, and past scenic mountains and waterfalls to the ultimate sight of Alaska’s mighty Knik Glacier. Refuel for the equally stunning trip back with a lunch at this incredible landmark.
After teaching you how to operate the UTV, your guide will lead you on a ride straight into mind-blowing territory! You’ll be taken though all kinds of scenic terrain, including sprawling valleys, fascinating old claim routes for mining, and dense forest, and ultimately seeing one of Alaska’s incredible mountainous glaciers. Don’t forget your camera, as you’re sure to witness wildlife and scenery like you’ve never seen before!
The Husky Homestead tour is widely heralded as an authentic look into rural Alaskan lifestyle based on over 40 years of Alaskan adventures: from freight hauling on Denali to crossing the finish line in Nome with a champion Iditarod team. See our husky puppies and share an intimate view of the Alaskan Husky as they explode from the yard on a training run and witness their beauty in motion as they run on our 50′ treadmill. Get a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into creating a championship team and carving a life in Alaska’s Interior. Hear compelling stories from the trail and see actual racing sleds, arctic survival gear and equipment used to traverse 1100 miles of Alaska’s most rugged terrain.
Relax in vintage passenger coaches as you retrace the original route to the White Pass Summit, passing Bridal Veil Falls, Inspiration Point and Dead Horse Gulch. Enjoy a breathtaking panorama of mountains, glaciers, gorges, waterfalls, tunnels, trestles and historic sites. See the original Klondike Trail of ‘98 worn into the rocks, a permanent tribute to the thousands of souls who passed this way in search of fortune. Learn about the history that is all around you.
A peaceful float along a non-motorized stretch of the scenic upper Kenai River through Kenai National Wildlife Refuge.
I'm Captain Fred and I'd like to invite you to experience Alaska's wilderness, whales, other wildlife, and Prince William Sound's majestic glaciers, Valdez's busy harbor and the terminus of the world famous Trans Alaska Oil Pipe Line. I want you to experience all this in comfort and luxury aboard our motor yacht, Lu-Lu Belle, Alaska's most plush tour vessel!
Lu-Lu Belle is not like other tour vessels you may have visited and you'll recognize that as soon as you step aboard and see the plush atmosphere of teak and mahogany set off with beautiful oriental rugs. We take special care to assure your comfort and safety while on Lu-Lu Belle. We'll share with you our knowledge of Alaska's Prince William Sound and it's ecosystem, gained from 46 years of experience on these waters. Our groups are small so you can feel free to walk about. Be sure to ask me if you have a question! I'm at the helm on every cruise and have been since 1979.
A family business
The Binkley family’s steam boating tradition goes back over 100 years and five generations. In 1898, when Charles M. Binkley hiked over the Chilkoot Pass with other stampeders, he was not so much in search of gold as he was the chance to build and operate boats on the Yukon and its tributaries. He became a respected pilot and boat builder in the North. His son, Captain Jim Binkley, Sr., followed in his father’s footsteps and piloted freight vessels on the Yukon and Tanana Rivers in the 1940's. Be immersed in frontier living first hand with a guided walking tour of an Athabascan village. See an Alaskan bush pilot takeoff and land right next to the boat!
Our pilot will share his stories of village life and explain the vital role planes play in remote Alaska. Enjoy a full family-style meal and eat to your fill. The Discovery Dining Hall offers our hearty miner's beef stew, rustic roasted vegetables, a kale apple pecan salad, sourdough rolls and, for dessert, a German chocolate brownie.
Haines, Alaska is where two important rivers, the Chilkat and Chilkoot, meet the sea. This charming, small town (2,500 residents) is located on a peninsula flanked by mountain ranges and these two glacial-fed rivers. This small-group tour (14 guests maximum) is hosted by a fun and knowledgeable local resident who will give you an insider’s look at what makes Haines so special.
We’ll start with a short drive through Historic Ft. Seward and make our way to the Pyramid Island Lookout. This wide delta is where the braided Chilkat River drops tons of glacial silt every day into the ocean. We’ll continue along the edge of the salt water to the Letnikof Cove Cannery Lookout. Here, the Rainbow Glacier and Chilkat Mountains provide a stunning backdrop to the red buildings of this historic salmon cannery.
Continue with a visit to the Extreme Dreams Art Studio, owned by local artists John and Sharon Svenson. Haines is known as an artists’ enclave with a surprising number of local residents making a living wholly or partially through their art. This handcrafted timber-frame gallery sports a tremendous view and is filled with unique creations by select local artisans.
We’ll retrace our steps back towards downtown Haines and travel in the opposite direction to the mouth of the Chilkoot River. The road winds along the salt water. We’ll keep our eyes open for birds like surf scoters and marine mammals like harbor seals. Our next stop is where the Chilkoot River flows into the sea. This is a peaceful location where “all things Alaskan” come together- the river, the ocean, the mountains and the forest. Bald eagles are often spotted here soaring and calling to each other above the spruce trees.
We’ll return to Haines and stop at Picture Point, a scenic vantage point featuring iconic views of Fort Seward with the gleaming Chilkat Mountains in the background. The view also encompasses the snow-capped Coast Range mountains lining Lynn Canal, the longest and deepest Fjord in North America.
Your tour concludes with a guided visit to one of the most unusual attractions in all of Alaska -- the Hammer Museum. Find out why remote Haines has the only museum in the world dedicated to this under-appreciated household tool. Explore history through the progression of man’s first tool- from a stone hammer that helped build the Third Pyramid of Giza to a digital hammer used by NASA astronauts!
Visit our dog yard and meet our sled dogs. Your guide will introduce you to the team and give you an orientation on meeting our dogs. Opportunities abound to pet and love on our huskies. Watch with excitement as your team gets hooked up and ready to take you on a 20-minute dog sled ride. See how our lead dogs respond to commands on our beautiful trails and learn all about how we train our dogs.
(You can upgrade this tour to mush behind the dogs on a snow covered glacier.)
You’ll enjoy a night of fun, festivity and food! Get a taste of old-time Alaska at Alaska Cabin Nite Dinner Theatre – the popular dinner theater performed in an authentic, log cabin in the Miners Plaza at Denali Park Village.
